4th Batch of Student Council

On the 6 November, the investiture was held at the Auditorium for the 4 th and 5th Batch .It was the first time event to be held at night and there was a dance performance at night by Jessica and there was singing by Isabella and Sulastri , I will remember you .It was a sad moment for the 4 th batch and we will passing out to the 5th Batch . CONGRATULATIONS to all the Excos ,Chairmans and Wan .

On the 30th Aug 2008 , there was a soccer match organized by the Student Councils. It’s a friendly match against the school’s Bridge Leaders. This match was actually a testimonial match from the 2nd, 3rd & 4th batch Student Council Soccer Team. It’s also the day the 4th batch Soccer Team to pass down the roles to the 5th batch.

The Student Council Soccer Team reported at the activity room at about 11am to get them hyped up for the match. You can see the enthusiasms in every student council soccer players. They started doing warm ups once everybody arrived and changed into their warm up gears.

After doing their warm ups, they changed to the soccer match gears and headed to the field entrance. Both SC soccer player and BL soccer players entered the field with pride, took team photos and exchange hand shakes before starting the match. The referee of the match is Hidayat.

The match ended with a great victory for the SC soccer player. The score sheet was SC 6 - BL 3. Riduwan, Veera and Musharaf all scored 2 goals each for the SC soccer Team. What an honor it is for the SC soccer players. It’s their first ever victory in three attempts against the BL soccer players. They celebrated their victory in style and they should be proud of it. They gave 3 cheers for the BL students for playing and giving their very best in that match after the game.

Congrats SC Soccer Players! You have made SC proud of the achievement. Special thanks to Hidayat, for refereeing the match, and BL, for accepting the friendly match against SC. Special credits to Falah, for making this soccer team come true, Falah & Syafiq, for setting the match, Adam, for making the SC soccer gears in such a short time, everyone in the soccer team, for playing well, and lastly, the supporters who came down to support them. They couldn’t have done it without all your supports and motivations! Thank you! It is the most fun and memorable event .

On 30 August 2008 at 2.30 pm at the Auditorium ,We celebrated Teacher's Day and it was a specia l occasion for the Teachers in ITE united to commerate the Teacher's Day.It has been a wonderful experience for the teachers for their hard work to make us to makee us reaching our goals .Thanking them for what they have done for us .During the Celebration there are many interesting programmes which were widely arranged by our own Student Council.The items are Puff down the memory game ,which one has to sing with the song and guess the title of the song ,The next event was sang by Nasdra by .The third event was past the parcel and last but not least was the Student Council performance .It was the most enjoyable event for the teachers.

On 15 August 2008.The Fun Feista falls on the Friday which was organised by the Student Council.It was at the Student Activity Room .The putpose of the event is to have fun and bonding with the student as well as to get to know the know the student council well.

In this Fun Fiesta event, the Student Councilors had prepared all sorts of activities and games for all the students to play. The event started at around 11am and ended at around 2pm. The room started to flood in with students from different courses soon after that. Some of the games the student councilors had prepared for them are games like pipe games, Egg Tray, Slimy Shot, Can Aiming, Bowling, UNO Stacko, PsP Challenge, Balloon Making etc. It was a wonderful experience.

There are some of the games which was play by the students.

Pipe game - (It is put with a marble at the top pipes and you need to guess where will the marble come out from)

Egg tray - (the players need to try throwing a ball into the egg tray to score.)

Slimy shot - (the players need to shoot a slime onto a target board.)

Can aiming - (the players need to try hitting down all the cans.)

Bowling - (instead of using real bowls n pins, we used half full 2.5L Bottles n Soccer balls to replaced them)

UNO stacko - (the Uno stacko game. a special dice to role n decide on which toy bricks to take n stack)

PSP Booth - (a section where students bring their own psp challenge each other)

Balloon making- (Student Councilors teaching others on how to make baloons to different type of shape)

During the Team Bonding session,We learnt about building rapport among our peers and working united as one .We shared our thoughts with one another and learnt from each other and working as a team to achieve the same goal . Synergism is a team working together which is better than one .Team bonding is defined as a "Cooperative or coordinated effort on the part of a group (sociology) of persons acting together as a team or in the interests of a common cause, unison for a higher cause, people working together for a selfless purpose, and so on."and we had learnt something from this workshop.

On 8 August 2008 , Some of us were involved in the Connect Singapore , Hand-in Hand which was held at the Old Police Academy at Thomson Road.It was a hot and sunny day .The main objective of the event is to hold hand in hand and is also part of National Day.Many different schools were involved for this occasion .There were 43,000 people were told to help up to form a shape of a heart and also to break Singapore Guinness World Of Record.There were 6 classes from electrical engineering and 2 class from Business .

At 12 o'clock in the afternoon ,We hold hands and recite the pledge along and there was a helicopter to capture the event .It was a great experience for me .

On 24 July 2008.The Healthy Lifestyle was held at the Indoor Sports Hall which was to let us know about our healthy lifestyle .There are many events which was involved.There was rollerbladding as well as the other games as well .The celebrity stars like Ms Felicia Chin came for this event . I took part in the rollerblade during the event.Everyone seems to enjoy themselves.

On 31 July 2008 .There was a Youth ASEAN and Asian seminar held in the Lecture Theatre 2 today .6 of the student councilor Pinky,Lawerence ,Abbas ,Hajee , Aniq and myself was to help the ASEAN countries like Cambodia,Indonesia ,Korea,Japan,Laos,Malaysia, China,Phillipines, Brunei, Singapore, Thailand,Vietnamand Myanmar.We were told to lead the Youth ASEAN to the lecture theatre.It was a wonderful experience for me as I get to interact with the Koreans and Phillipines.Finding out how they enjoy their stay here.

During the seminar , there was a speaker by Mr Jack Sim mention about the world toilet organisation about the toilet that we use everyday.and Ms Erim Chew the founder of 77th street.They both talk about Enterpreneurship and Leadership.the seminar was and we learn something throughout this seminar and we make alot of friends over all the Asean and Asian countries.

On 7 May 2008 ,We have a Mini Student Council Investiture and the Principal Dialogue Session which was held at the Lecture Theatre 2 .Everyone was very excited and looking forward for the event . All of the Student Council was invited to watch the event.

Before ,The Investiture we start the investiture we have a Principal Dialogue Session and we have three topic we have a discussion with the principal about the Food Survey, Stop Smoking and Lanyard Awareness Day. It was a long discussion with the Principal and Student Council. There was a lot of questions being asked to clarify their doubts and issues of the school.

After all the discussion is time for the Student Council Investiture for the 11 of our 1 year course Student Council were appointed officially to be a part of Student Council.

On 15 April 2008,The CCA Drive was held at the Indoor Sports Hall .While setting up the booth there was a huge crowd of April intake coming excitedly to the hall led by the bridge leader.they were facinated by the wide variety of cca's being offered to them as time went on till the afternoon,there was a huge crowd by the students who took their lunch time to see the cca being offered popular ccas like soccer n floorball.They had a full list of students joining in the other cca's were also showing some moves as they attract their attention.Not forgetting student councl booth who was at the centre of the hall, which attract attention by our formal look.Many students were fascinated by our events like Blaze Camp, Teacher 's Day Celebration,Graduation Ceremony which made them very interested in joining Student Council.

On 18 April 2008.The Ignite 4 was held at the Indoor Sports Hall which was organised by the CCA Committee and the other committees for the April intake.From what I saw ,they were scattered around into finding their seating arrangement,fortunately there was a slide showing their arangement to the various schools.The participants were clueless and excited on what is going to happen.

The first event was the Journey to the Eest which was a irony round where students of 12 participants have to cross over the mat without touching the cones and the ground . Business was in the lead,and foolow by the rest of the schools . The second event was a Dribble game ,which was the balloon where participants have to blow the ball the size of their head and bring the ball to other side and the participant had to stand sraight so they can receieve the ball into the bucket.The third game was called bingo where students have to do 7 consecutive jumps in order for all the words to be revealed then have to form a phrase wif e words given to them.

The most exciting around was The cheering competition where each school has to come out with a cheer.After much agree n disagreement among e judges,they made a decision of making buissness e winner,it was really a unexpected victory.

As For myself , as it is my first experience during the Graduation Day for Class of Dec 07 batch ,as I was during my duty I notice the ELT students like to make their way though the front of the VIP seats,my feeling was that the students and I had to persuade them to go to the back and after everything was going fine for me .

1st SC Fun Fiesta 2007

On 28th July 2007, Our 1st SC Fun-Fiesta launched at Student Activity Centre. It was a combined event mainly in-charged by both of our SC committee-CCA and House. We took a month to do the planning and layout. A total of 40 SC members helped out.

I was in charge for the games sides. This means we had to come up with games
which will interest the students to take part in.
So we came up with games such as Uno stacko & cards, scrabble, carom, PSP, and Chinese chess & Western chess. We had an aim of having 100 participants for the games. As the event started, students started coming in and signing up for the games. Most of the students took part in the carom and Uno stacko. Least of them took part in the chess and scrabble. We also had games where students played for fun. We had five stones, limbo, and bowling, hit the cans and much more. The sac was filled with students and it was very vibrant. There were also winners were they got a prize for winning the games competition. Everyone had a wonderful time. Everything went smooth and easy. we will be sure that this will continue.

On 21st July 2007, 120 of our student councilors were honored to have Mr. Raymond Lim, Minister for Transport, Second Minister for Defense, Member of Parliament and Dr Ang Seng Bin, Chairman of Fengshan YEC and others distinguished guests to present a dialogue on “Youth challenges, Finance, Peer Influence & Society Acceptance”

He shared on the principles of youth and peer influence, as well as common issues encountered by today, youth. This dialogue drew active participation from our 4 schools councilors who appreciated the opportunity to interact with and tap on the valuable experience of Mr. Raymond Lim.

Food Survey Event

“Ringgggggg!”, its lunch time. When the Digital Clock of ITE College East struck 1100a.m, I will walk to nearby Café which are always pack with students and teachers. Most of the student do not mind having to wait for the food, but its the quality of the taste and the affordable prices that they care about most. Thus, my friends and I organized a Food Survey in café 1 and 2 to get feedbacks from the students and teachers.

Twice a month, we will get our members to do the survey. By placing the chart according to the different stalls, categorizing from a series of Excellent, Good, Fair and Need improvement to be ‘graded’ by the consumers. Each survey will have different themes each time.

On 3rd May 2007, our very first survey, the theme was “Hygiene”. We were put in 2 different groups; café 1 and 2 to start our survey. In café 1, students were amazed and pleasantly surprised as to what we were doing and asked what was happening. We explained it to them and finally they were willing to do the survey. It was also quite hyper in café 2. All our members did their best to get the student’s supports. After the event ended, we had a meeting to discuss the results. The Most “Hygiene” stalls in Café 1 was Muslim Delights & Japanese Food. In Café 2 was Indo/Thai.

On 19th July 2007, we had our second survey; the theme was “Customer Service”. This was such a great challenge to the stalls as it is very important to have good customer service skills. We promote the theme to the students and advised them about it. The Most Outstanding “Customer Service” stalls in Café 1 were Noodles Delights & Japanese Food. In Café 2 was Western Food & Malay Stall.

Congratulation to all the stalls that have done well in our school!

Sorry people for the lacks of updates. Oh well, phew Community Feasta was a blast and so does National Day Celebration in ITE CE was over. We all can relax now and sit back.

I'll try to get photos i really mean more, more and more photos for both events and get them update here. For now i will summaries in draggy paragraph. Sorry if this tends to bored u guys up. Ahem, i just doing my task here. Kiddin lol.

Anyway, Lets talk about National Day Celebration.

8th August, eve of Singapore's Birthday. ITE College East celebrated Singapore Birthday in our very school. It was a blast. Lots of happening stuff happened. We have our very own parade ( I didn't know what the marching stuff called ) and it was splendid andwell- organized i could said. What a great job for those involved.

As usual, singing the national anthem and saying the pledge is the main factor or should i say key in every national day celebration. For those who don't know what majulah singapura is, here is the short phrase of the song ....Marikita rakyat singapura.. Sama2 menuju bahagia.. ok, for more infomation, surf the net ah..

Ya, where there is celebration there is some excitement ah. Wait, not that kind of excitment ah.. Not that circle circle dot dot ooops sorry relax.. What i meant was there was performance lah. Both in the ampitheater and the auditiorium. Both performances was totally a blast! Without them, celebration would not be called celebration.

Hey, there was a mini bazaar too. Some sold PSP ah, games booth lar, perfumes lar and hey hey hey our very Student Councils too have our own ba'zar hor!!! Yes, we sold splendid yet delicous cold and juicy fruit punch. *Drooling*, Long, big and extremly cold colurful ice-stick [ ".", ], cute ballons and heyna (sp?) ( its hand painting eh? ). Bravo to those who ever in charge of the mini booth!! Great job...

Hmmm.. =) In short, i have fun, we have fun and everyone have fun!! Woooo....
